I know this sounds crazy, but yes, computerized quilting can work on some home machines! I've fallen in love with quilting automation because it's fun, geeky-techy (yeah, that's me), and results in beautiful quilting, even in complicated quilt blocks.

For this tutorial, my Evolution Hoop Frame is in Rolling Rail Mode. I find I have a little more quilting space with this style than Hoop Style because I don't have to use the clamps on the back rail.

I'm quilting this spring baby quilt with designs from the Super Spirals and Maximized Feathers quilting collections. I never realized how well spirals and feathers work together in the same quilt:

Quilting Edge-to-Edge Easily

How to Quilt Perfectly Around Appliques

The Beginnings level of the software will keep you busy for years. I only recently upgraded to QCT 5 PRO and added the Gold Card Access - a yearly subscription to the most advanced computerized quilting features.

Using a feature called Pattern Eclipse, I was able to clip out my feather and spiral designs to perfectly stitch around these yellow daisy appliques. Learn how to do this in this video:

I doubt I could quilt feathers or spirals as consistently around these applique shapes any other way!
