Josh and I wanted a new king sized quilt and for this quilt to be simple, but very creative. I had a purple tapestry saved from college and decided that was the
perfect centerpiece for this quilt. Using a variety of techniques, I turned the edges and mounted the tapestry onto a backing fabric, then pieced on two borders.
My favorite part of this quilting adventure was finishing a king sized quilt in two months. Honestly, it was so nice
finishing this quilt in a few months and I loved being able to quilt across the entire width of the quilt in one pass on my 12 foot quilting frame.
I learned a lot about quilting bigger quilts and it was yet another reminder that every minute of quilting time is an opportunity to learn something new. This king sized quilt challenged me to use quilting rulers and computerized quilting in new ways, and to create new digitized quilting designs as well.
