We recently had a cold snap here in the foothills of North Carolina, and the autumn leaves have been gorgeous! Here's a picture Josh took just the other day, looking upward into the canopy of our silver maples.

Can't you just see a future quilt inspired from this picture? 

A couple years ago I designed a quilt panel with Honest Fabrics with a fall theme. It's a basket weave pattern and you get both a quilt panel and table runner!

Basket Weave with Automated Quilting

I also put together a QCT project featuring the Basket Weave panel. It was kind of a mini-Quilt Along and I had such a blast using computerized quilting to make the project.

Of course, QCT is getting a big update coming later this month to QCT 6. If you want to follow along with this Basket Weave with QCT mini series, make sure to have at least QCT 6 Plus (formerly QCT 5 Beginnings) in order to place and stitch blocks as well as pantographs.
