I've got a new style of video for you week and to explain, here's a comment I've been receiving more often lately:

Excellent presentation! Clear, concise description and directions, reasoning for choices was logical and given relative importance, which was helpful. And forgive me, but there was little to no extraneous chatter that can frankly be annoying when you're interested in the hows and whys of a project and not how the week was so hectic and here's the recipe for stuffed peppers. You did an actual lesson, you see! I subscribed and look forward to more videos!

Has as Youtube gotten too chatty? I've been watching a lot of silent films lately - mostly manly outdoorsmen crafting amazing log cabins with only the sound of sawing, birds chirping, or the occasional dog barking in the background. Here's a great example with music only at the beginning.

I decided to try this myself because I filmed most of this video silently and realized during editing that I didn't need to explain it! Let me know what you think of letting my home machine and longarm machine do the talking for me:

In the beginning of the video, I was quilting on my Little Rebel sewing machine in the Eleanor Sewing Table. This is the perfect little setup for piecing quilts and quilting baby quilts. I can set the machine to standing height or sitting, whatever my back and shoulders need on a particular day.

However, it IS faster and easier on the body to quilt on a quilting frame. With the machine on wheels, you aren't fighting the drag of the quilt or having to stop and reposition your hands or stencil.

I have my Qnique 21X Elite now set up on the Evolution Hoop Frame and I really love this combination! I could quilt all the way across this baby quilt without having to advance to the side. The amazing space within the Qnique 21X Elite allowed me to quilt multiple rows of stencils before advancing the quilt forward.
