It's because of Betty that I've decided to turn my attention back to MallytheMaker.com and making beginner sewing and quilting tutorials. She recently pulled out her Ms. Bunny and Mally dolls and it was delightful to help her change the dolls outfits and dress them up.

My goal with this website was to encourage kids to go on sewing adventures, whether it's through the book, Mally the Maker and the Queen in the Quilt, or through free sewing and quilting lessons.

I've decided to share one new tutorial to MallytheMaker.com each month and would love to hear from you. Reply to this newsletter and let me know if you're interested in learning hand crafts like hand sewing, hand quilting, crochet, knitting, weaving, and possible projects you'd love to make.

Welcome to the World of Quilst

Just in case you've never heard of the Mally the Maker adventure story, here's the first chapter I narrated so you can listen as you quilt:

Now, if you've read the book and know how it ends (major spoilers in the video below), here's a fun little short story my husband Josh wrote about a year after Mally the Maker was first published! 

It's a little mystery about a stoic pink rooster, his little friend named Singer, and a pack of mischievous, freewheeling baby chicks who have started wearing hats.
