In shooting this timelapse, I found using the magnets to take half the time to attach the backing fabric than pinning!
How do
these compare to Red Snappers? I admit, I really like my Red Snappers, and they will be cheaper to use, especially on a larger quilting frame.
However, the Magnum Magnets are a little easier on my hands and require less force to attach and remove. I have had a few quilters return Red Snappers due to not having enough hand strength to attach and remove the clamps.
Another benefit of Magnum Magnets is they can speed up hoop frame loading too! I use these to attach the backing directly to the back rail on my Cutie Breeze, Q-Zone Hoop, and Evolution Hoop Frames. Much faster for that first and second load when using the plastic clamps is a bit finicky!
