Magical Pumpkin Mug Rug

Today I pulled out that pumpkin mug rug and it was like seeing an old friend. The wonderful thing about sewing and quilting little Halloween projects each year is that pretty soon you have an amazing collection of handmade decorations to enjoy.

What is the difference between these 16 inch longarms? 

Both machines have 16 inches between the needle and motor. Both machines can quilt up to a 10-inch quilt block in one pass. Both machines have a built-in thread stand and bobbin winder.

The 16X Elite has a larger 7-inch touchscreen monitor and can stitch faster. This machine can make 2100 stitches per minute (SPM), while the 16X can make 1700 SPM.

What difference does the machine speed make? 

If you're wanting to finish quilts quickly and simply, and you are already skilled at free motion quilting, you'll likely want to move your longarm machine faster. Having a higher SPM means you'll be able to flow through designs at a comfortable speed without needing to slow down for the stitch regulator to keep up.
