Bright and Vivid Thread for Quilting

Published: Wed, 10/26/16

Hi ,

It's no secret I use Isacord polyester thread for ALL of my free motion quilting! I've found Isacord to be durable, perfect for dense free motion quilting, and best of all, you get the most bang for your buck with this thread as it's very affordable for a spool of 1000 meters.

Isacord thread is a high quality, strong, yet very thin thread designed for embroidery, but also perfectly suited for applique and free motion quilting. It is 40 weight, making it an excellent choice for free motion quilting designs that require a lot of travel stitching.

We offer this thread in two kits of 12 spools, and for this week only we're discounting our special Bright colorway set at five dollars off the usual price.

These bright and vivacious colors are perfect for vivid, cheerful quilts, like my Dancing Butterfly quilt below.
Design #467 Kelp Fan
I'm nearly finished preparing everything for quilt market this week so I decided to take a break from thinking about fabric to think about machine quilting.

Here's a cute new quilting design for you today that features a bit of thread painting, travel stitching, and echoing to make a really beautiful texture for your quilts.

This fun design is called Kelp Fan because it reminds me of a flowing water plant for some reason. I love organic designs like this and, while it's a bit time consuming to quilt, I think the texture is totally worth it. Learn how to quilt it in this new video:

Tote Bad Made from My New Fabric Line
Heart Medallions is one of a new fabric line from Island Batik, my first designer line of fabric which will premiere at Fall Quilt Market in Houston, TX. I made a fun and stylish tote bag, pictured below:
Grip & Stitch Still $5.00 Off
So sorry last week if you tried to purchase a set of Grip & Stitch pads and they were sold out! We have overstocked to ensure that will not happen again, and we will keep these at the sale price for another week.

So that's it for this week! I'll be posting a host of fun pictures and stories from Quilt Market so stay tuned.

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day
