Free Chain of Beads Beginner Quilt Pattern

This week my Quilty Box arrived with gorgeous Island Batik Seafoam precut squares. I instantly fell in love with this fabric and I wanted to keep the squares big to showcase each fabric design.

So I only trimmed the squares a little bit and connected them together with super easy strip blocks to create this Chain of Beads Quilt.

Behind the Scenes of Our Quilting Business

I have a fun new podcast episode for you this week. I interviewed my husband and business partner, Josh Day, to share a behind-the-scenes look at how we run our family business.

Josh and I have worked together since 2004 and as you'll hear in the episode, he is a big reason why I'm in business today. I didn't know anything about the internet or running an online business, and Josh taught me all the basics from designing a website to uploading content.

Over the years our jobs and roles have changed and Josh is very much the power behind the power. I know I wouldn't have been able to keep blogging and sharing quilting designs back in 2009 if Josh hadn't been helping me edit videos and pack orders.

This really is a home grown, family run business and I'm so very thankful to share it with Josh and to be able to make videos and teach online. We both love what we do and I hope that comes through with this new episode and with every video you watch and quilt pattern you follow.
