Wonky Christmas Trees Pattern

Published: Thu, 12/22/16

Hi ,

I hope you're having a wonderful week-before-Christmas!

I've been making the sewing room extra festive with wonky Christmas tree blocks created from this month's Quilty Box.

The best thing about this pattern is how freeform and forgiving it is.

I don't know about you, but my brain is on overload from Christmas craziness and when I sit down at the machine I just need something easy and fun to piece. These cute trees definitely fit the bill.
Organize 2017 with the Quilter's Planner
Organizing everything... to a quilter that's a tall order! In a given week I need to organize blog posts, video shoots, pattern writing and design time along with normal life like buying groceries and getting my hair cut.

Keeping organized hasn't been my strong suit and this year I've really struggled because I feel like I left many things way, way too late and these last few weeks of the year have been anything but relaxing. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel - starting January 1st I will begin using my Quilter's Planner.

I'm super excited about using this planner because it will not only help me organize my jumbled thoughts and million to-do lists, it will also help me organize my quilt designs and keep everything in ONE PLACE. That is essential for me because I'm sick of having notebooks and planners that only do half the job.

If your goal is to build new skills for quilting, the Quilter's Planner can help you with that as well with 40 quilting design to practice. I promise if you quilt just one 4 inch square of each design in the planner, you will see amazing improvement in your machine quilting skills.

Looking Forward to 2017
One final note before we close: a number of our products in our online quilt shop are currently out of stock due to end of the year inventory, but everything will be fully stocked the first week of January.

Speaking of January, are you ready for the next Machine Quilting Block Party?

This mystery quilt along begins on January 1st and each month we'll learn how to piece and machine quilt a block together.

You can gear up for this big event right now! Click here to find the materials list so you're ready to go on January 1st.

I hope you'll quilt along with us for another year and continue building new quilting skills block by block.

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day
