Hi ,

When was the last time you played with quilting? No, I don't mean you made a quilt, but you really dug in and gave yourself permission to make a mess, stitch all over the place, go wild with fabric, paint, thread, and yarn?

I realized I haven't been doing this enough so this week I blocked out an hour or two to play with free motion quilting. I had a blast quilting a small hoop quilt for my living room wall. I shot a video as I quilted so you can see how this little quilt came together.

I'm often asked if I'm using a stitch regulator. No, on a home machine I don't use a stitch regulator. This is just my hands moving the quilt and my foot pressing on the pedal.

I'm still learning the nuances of my new Eversewn sewing machine, but so far I've been super impressed with how beautifully it stitches and how perfectly I can control the speed of the machine. I have more free motion quilting videos in the works so be looking forward to seeing more quilting tutorials with fun designs this month.

Last week I announced the new Goddess Quilt Along starting on June 4th and we sold out of all the fabric kits for this quilt in 1 day! 

I can't tell you how touched I am by this response. I've long wanted to share my goddess quilts and designs, but for various reasons I've held myself back. But now I know I had nothing to fear and we are going to have an amazing time creating the Eternal Love Goddess quilt together.

We do have more fabric kits coming and they will be in stock and shipping out by Friday this week. Unfortunately the fabric colors included in the kit are going to change slightly from the original, but it's still going to create a gorgeous wall hanging quilt.

This kit includes 9 fabric colors and 2 packages of fusible web you will need for this project. We still have a limited number of kits available and we probably won't be able to restock until July if these sell out too.
