I'm really looking forward to seeing all the beautiful quilts at the show and demonstrating with Grace Company. We have a new 19-inch longarm that I can't wait to play with and of course, hundreds of other vendors to check out the newest gadgets, gizmos, and fabrics designed for quilters this year.

As soon as I get back from the show, my #1 focus is going to be our next big quilt along - Leah's Friendship Sampler Quilt.

For the first time ever, I'm designing this quilt in multiple sizes. You can make a crib, throw, twin, queen, or king sized quilt and the first pattern will include detailed materials list to help you get started.

My favorite part about this quilt is the scrappy, friendship style. A true friendship quilt is supposed to be a mixture of fabrics from lots of different friends. Dad and I have been cutting up my entire fabric stash and will be offering packs of my favorite, collected fabrics for you to add to your quilt.

My goal is to have the first pattern available for our Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday Sale, but I have a lot of quilt math to work through between now and then. Make sure to check the newsletter each week for news about this new project.

Yes, our longarm quilting rulers are back in stock!

I apologize to everyone who's been waiting for the the rulers. It's been hard to estimate how many to order and there have been manufacturing delays as well. Thankfully, that's all in the past.

If you're not familiar with this style of quilting, ruler foot quilting is a unique way to free motion quilt using rulers or templates to guide the design. The ruler gives you more control over the design and shapes you quilt which means more pretty stitches and less weird wobbles.

Simply position your ruler on your quilt, press it against a ruler quilting foot and gently steer both the quilt and the ruler through your machine.

I'm also super excited to announce a feature we've been wanting to incorporate for years now: you'll soon have the ability to upload images in the comment section! Since we archived our Facebook groups earlier this year, both Josh and I have missed seeing all the quilts shared from quilters all over the world.

Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing technical issues with this feature so hang tight while we work to get this fixed. We'll let you know when the system is up and running.

This week I shared a detailed video tutorial on how to sew your own Ms. Bunny doll. Yes, there are more videos to come to learn how to make her cute outfit too!

Designing this pattern was an adventure as I was trying to recreate a doll from memory that I hadn't held in 25 years. I absolutely love how this turned out and how much I learned about doll and dress making along the way.

I've made more than a dozen Ms. Bunnies during the process of creating this pattern and it feels so good to see them lined up in their own special dresses. The very first ones are a little rocky, with one having her arms and legs sewn backwards, but I love them all! 

I hope you make many Ms. Bunny dolls and share them with all the children in your life.

I recently received a question about how to fit a longarm quilting frame into a room.  I’m in between projects on the longarm this week so it was the perfect time to share a little tour of my longarm / embroidery room and how I set it up.
