For our home machine quilting this month I decided to quilt with rulers.

 

 

I know we’ve been overloaded with some heavy scrap piecing for both this block and last month’s Checkerboard Block.

 

I kept the quilting on this Scrap Overload block fairly simple by first echo ditching around the center background diamond shapes.

 

Last week was our 100th episode of the Hello My Quilting Friends podcast!

 

Two Fridays ago I shared a post on quilting a bargello quilt on the longarm.

 

Last Friday I turned that quilt into two infinity patchwork scarves with in-the-frame sewing so there was minimal finishing on my home machine. 

 

We’re making this project in-the-frame. This is kind of like in-the-hoop embroidery projects that stitch out and create a finished bag or quilt block all in the hoop.

 

Only on a longarm, we have a LOT more space to play!
