Remember, a longer project isn’t a bad thing. I really love having a big, time consuming project serve as the touchstone of that year or time of my life. Every time I look at that project, I can remember that particular time of my life.

 

But it’s good to know what you’re getting into. If you want a project that will take a week, you only want it to take a week.

 

The fastest quilts will be: traditionally pieced with straight seams, cut from precut fabric, include no techniques that you haven’t learned before, smaller and quilted minimally so it’s soft and cuddly on a longarm with straight lines or an all-over design.

 

It’s time to quilt our 10th block for the Friendship Quilt Along! I’ve picked Stippling and a Square Spiral to quilt on my Grace Qnique 21 longarm. 

 

 

Spoiler alert: yes, we have a set of three brand new rulers! Stay tuned as they will become available this month.

 

I chose to quilt a simple square spiral in this month's block.

 

This was a great choice because the straight lines of the spiral overlapped the Square-in-a-square units, but ended up lining up with the center square perfectly. I love how that worked out!
