Sorry, this isn't that kind of quilt along. I'm not planning to use all the blocks in one big, or even one tiny quilt.

 

Instead I'm using these mini blocks in a variety of small projects, like this cute Mini Pincushion!

 

Remember, my word of the year is Light and I want to keep things light and fun with smaller, quicker projects in 2020.

I’m modifying my longarm Continuum Frame once again, this time by adding an Idler Rail to the back. Learn what this rail does and how to install it in this video:

I've made many changes to my Continuum Frame this past year. I expanded it 2 feet, added Quilt Motion Automation so the longarm can move on it's own, and added this new Idler Rail.

 

This is why the Continuum Frame is my favorite - because it will continually grow with you (hence the name!) You can expand this frame to become bigger if you move and have more space. You can also add a batting rail too to keep your batting off the floor as you’re quilting.

This coming Friday, we're diving back into free motion quilting designs with new Free Motion Friday tutorials. Each tutorial will be shared half on my home machine, the Eversewn Sparrow 20, and half on a longarm.

 

I really love the challenge of quilting on both machines and getting a better taste of what these designs look like on a larger scale. I hope you're looking forward to trying new designs and seeing my less-than-perfect quilting.
