Thank you all so much for your wonderful support and help this past week. Josh and I have been working hard to tear out the walls and floors that have water damage. Every day we're discussing and refining our plans to rebuild the basement to work better for us both.
This is very difficult and I've had some very bad days. We ripped out the basement kitchen this week after realizing we did get water in the longarm room. I'm not sure when I'll be able to resume filming videos on my longarm frame.
Now we're turning our attention to our yard and learning how the water got in and how to stop it from happening again. Like searching for the culprit behind skipped stitches on any machine, I'm finding this disaster wasn't caused by one thing, but multiple issues at once.
All in all, it's still a mess and very stressful. On the positive side, we are working together to minimize the cost and I estimate we've already saved $10,000 by doing the initial demolition ourselves.
I have heard from a lot of quilters concerned for our health and safety. Please know we are taking all precautions, have sealed the basement off from the upstairs, and we're all wearing quite a lot more layers to work each day!
Several quilters have asked if we will set up a Go Fund Me or similar campaign. For various reasons, Josh and I would prefer for you to support us by
ordering products from our site, joining the

We sincerely appreciate the support we've received so far. The support from our quilting community has been the foundation Josh and I have drawn strength from time and time again.
It is not easy to continue making Mini Block Monday and Free Motion Friday videos during this time, so please share these tutorials with your quilting friends!
