A lot has changed! We finally have a beautiful, bright basement that is a pleasure to work in. I have left some small details (like painting trim boards) for later and that will be fun to tackle when I feel that craving for home renovation again (definitely not any time soon!).
In case you're wondering about the machines I showed in the podcast, here's a little more information on each one:
Janome Horizon 8200 – This is my current piecing and prep work machine. I absolutely love the variety of feet and hundreds of decorative stitches to play with. LOTS of tutorials will be coming on this machine either in 2020 or 2021.
Janome 1600 – I’ve moved this straight stitch home sewing machine to my
Q-Zone Hoop Frame. While the quilting space is small, the high speed is ideal for frame quilting! I’m looking forward to sharing new videos on quilting on a hoop frame with a home sewing machine.
Qnique 21 on a Continuum Frame – My big daddy longarm made it through the renovation just fine (just a bit dusty). I’m planning to expand my frame by another 2 feet to take it up to 12 feet long, but that will wait until I actually have a king sized quilt needing to be loaded!
