This is Josh today for a super short and sweet newsletter. Leah and I hope you are doing well as we start February 2021.
A really handy Youtube feature a lot of people don't know about is the playlist. That's a series of videos put together in one master list with a common theme, with an ability to play one after the other automatically. Ideal to play while sewing or doing something else.
Back in 2014 I joined Leah with the
Building Blocks quilt along. This was a beginner project with 42 blocks designed for free motion quilting beginners to fully tackle free motion, starting off as novices and completing the quilt with much more experience under their belt. Keep in mind this was my first time sewing anything - ever. I was as much as a newbie as
one can be! However, by the end of the project, I felt I could free motion quilt circles with confidence and could see massive improvements in my stitching across the board.
Anyway, several years ago I put together all of the videos featuring me and my beginner skills in a long youtube playlist.
I recommend bookmarking this or saving it as one of your own personal playlists so you can quickly come back to it. There are hours and hours of free motion quilting here.
