Josh here again and I'm happy to announce we're back to sharing free motion designs once a week!

For the time being we plan on sharing a new video tutorial for a fun and easy free motion quilting design each Tuesday for the rest of the summer and early fall. What happens when you free motion quilt Loopy Line with straight lines? You get Loopy Angles.

Even with 500+ designs shared to this Free Motion Quilting Project, I still find myself surprised by the simple variations of easy designs still waiting to be shared. This design is so easy to free motion quilt you may find the bigger issue is moving your quilt or machine too fast.

If your stitches start getting too big, that’s a sign you need to slow down and take your time forming each line of the design.

Deluxe Foot Set – This set includes two styles of walking feet, a darning foot, and a ruler foot! These are the feet I use for machine quilting on my Eversewn machine.

I’m also quilting on a Janome 1600 set up on a Grace Hoop Frame. This makes quilting feel so much easier because the machine is moving on wheels instead of the quilt being pushed over a table.

So Where Should I Quilt This?

Both Loopy Angles and her sister Loopy Lines are great choices for large scale, All-Over style quilting. You can’t beat the speed and the simple texture these designs add to your quilts.

Leah and I both think straight lines and sharp angles look more masculine so you should try free motion quilting Loopy Angles on quilts for the boys and men in your life.
