Happy baby news!

Our daughter Betty Ellen Serenity Day arrived late Sunday night. At nearly 9 pounds, she is a delightful chunky muffin of cuteness.

Betty is named for Josh’s Grandmother and mother, both of whom we lost in 2019.

Josh and I are so relieved and thankful for her safe arrival. We didn’t share this publicly before, but the entire month of July was spent doing anything we could think of to stop her from coming early. It was the most stressful month of long baths and naps I’ve ever had! Of course it all seems sort of silly now since Betty ended up coming 5 days late.

I honestly don’t mind the crazy summer we’ve had because having Betty here and so huge and healthy was worth every day of struggle. We’re already working out our daily schedule and I’m delighted to share that she is a rock solid sleeper.

That being said, Josh and I are still very tired and it may take us an extra day to get back to emails or order questions. I’m taking recovery seriously so Josh is running the house, business, taking care of our dozens of animals and James - this man deserves a medal! - and also a break too as I know the last two months have been just as hard for him.
