I love quilting blocks with unique designs. When I have time, custom quilting is my favorite way to take a simple quilt (or in this case a quilt panel) to the next level.

In the video above, I used two different levels of the software:

QCT 6 Plus - This is a mid-level of the software which allows you to do edge-to-edge quilting, place blocks, and design and place pantographs too. At this level, you'll place and quilt one block at a time.

QCT 6 PRO with Gold - This is the highest level of the software which unlocks all the coolest features including Multi-Pattern Placement. This allows you to place multiple blocks in sequence. 

Yes, you will still have to break thread and hit buttons to advance the machine to the next design, but this is a lot less work than having to stop and place each design one at a time.

The great thing about QCT 6 is you can start with the basics and then upgrade the software level when you're ready to unlock more features and hundreds of designs.

What type of quilting can I do with QCT 6?

QCT 6 is the most basic and simple version of the software. It's been specially designed only for edge-to-edge pantograph style quilting using the 100 built-in designs (like the 6 pictured below) in the software.

How do I place and stitch block designs or triangles?

In order to place individual designs into specific spaces on your quilts, you'll need to upgrade or start with QCT 6 Plus. We have 3 levels of the Quilter's Creative Touch software now, which means you can get started with computerized quilting very affordably and upgrade at your own pace. Here's a bit about each level:

QCT 6 - Baseline level of the software designed for edge-to-edge quilting only using only the built-in designs in the software. Click Here to see the designs included!

QCT 6 Plus - This level gives you the ability to import designs, place and stitch blocks, triangles, and more complex pantograph designs.

QCT 6 PRO - This level expands your abilities with pantograph designs, allows you to record yourself quilting a design and save it as a new design you can stitch repeatedly. Click Here to see how I recorded, edited, and stitched this feather Christmas Tree design:

QCT 6 PRO + Gold Card - This is a 1 year subscription to the highest level of the software with amazing tools like Multi-Pattern Placement so you can place and stitch several blocks at a time. You can also download a collection of 5 - 10 new Gold Card designs each month.

I have QCT 5 beginnings - How do I upgrade to QCT 5 Pro?

If you already have QCT 5 Beginnings, you’ll need to update your software to QCT 6 Plus (new name, same software level). Once you update using the software you have now, then you can purchase an upgrade to go to QCT 6 PRO.
