News from Leah Day and
the Free Motion Quilting Project
Hi ,

It's Spring! Overnight the weather where I live has transformed from dull, rainy and cold to hot, sunny, and beautiful. Thankfully the pollen and a snotty nose are both keeping me inside and focused on quilting so I have loads to share with you today about what has recently been posted to the Free Motion Quilting Project!

19. How to Rip Out Quilting Mistakes
- Yes, mistakes happen and though I strongly advise you to leave the little ones in and keep quilting, sometimes a mistake is made that is just too glaring that it must go. Learn how I rip sometimes one stitch at a time, sometimes many at once, just depending on the space being worked on.

20. Learn how to quilt Hot Hot Spiral
- As the name implies, this design is a bit fiery with spirals thrown in! It's basically a combination of Sharp Stippling and spirals and loads of fun to stitch on any scale.
21. Learn how to quilt Loopy Doopy Spiral - I think this fun design could win an award for silliest name! This is a combo of Loopy Line and spirals to create a loopy, swirling texture all in one!

Daily Quilt Journal - Do you quilt daily? Nope, neither do I, though I would really like to! I've decided to challenge myself to quilt SOMETHING every day so I can shoot a photo and put it in my daily quilt journal.

22. Learn the Basics of Trapplique: Part 1 - What in the world is Trapplique? You'll just have to check out this tutorial to find out!

Organizing...Again! - Organization is always a work-in-progress for me, but this Wednesday I tackled one nagging task by organizing all my quilt patterns and designs into bins and actually labeling them so I know where I can find things when I need them!

This is just the short list of the best posts over the last two weeks. You can actually find many more right here on the Free Motion Quilting Project.

That's it for this week! Since I managed to clean up my desk and organize my designs, I'm now inspired to go slice up some fabric and make something beautiful!

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day
