News from Leah Day
Hi ,
It's been a quiet week around the house with James back in school. I've focused my energy and extra time on quilting and I'm beginning to see some progress on many projects! Let's check in with all the articles and videos posted to the Free Motion Quilting Project so you can catch up with what's going on:
FMQ Friday: 2 Hours to Quilt - For this Friday link up post, I've shared photos of Duchess Reigns, a quilt I'm trying to knock out more steadily by quilting 2 hours every day.

I'll Never Do This Again... - I chose to piece 1/4 inch hexagons to create the pieced face for Express Your Love. It was extremely time consuming, especially when I had several other fun projects in the works...but the effect is so beautiful I'll probably end up eating my words!

51. Foundation Piecing Log Cabin Blocks - For this lock of yellow hair, I pieced multiple log cabin blocks in a wonky, free form arrangement to create another beautiful pieced texture.
52. Learn how to Quilt Bellybuttons - This funky design stacks circles together and expands each shape with rings of echoes. It's fun, quick, and not too serious - the perfect combination for any quilt!

New Tablet Ready Ebook!
Do you prefer to read books on your Kindle or tablet device? I personally prefer an ipad, and keeping up with this new technology has been something Josh and I have been working hard on this year.
I'm pleased to announce that the book Free Motion Quilting From Feathers to Flames now includes THREE awesome formats:

1. PDF - This file type is perfect to view on a regular computer screen and print out a physical copy. You can actually print as many copies of the book as you like. A student recently shared a tip on laminating the pages to make it easy to practice tracing over each design!

2. Epub - This file type is compatible with most tablet devices. You'll need to double check your software and possibly download a free app to make sure you can read the Epub file. The great advantage of reading the book on your tablet is links are included with each design so you can quickly click over to the original video and watch how the design is stitched!

3. Mobi (Kindle) - This file type is compatible with Amazon Kindle tablets. It has all the same great advantages of the Epub version, and will be easy to browse, watch designs, and learn about free motion quilting from your Kindle.

All three formats are bundled together in a zipped folder and ready to download when you purchase Free Motion Quilting from Feathers to Flames Ebook!

Just in case you're wondering, the Ebook version of From Daisy to Paisley includes both a PDF and Kindle version of the book (no Epub yet!)

The Ebook version of 365 Free Motion Quilting Designs contains only a PDF file. We're working hard to get all the books converted to multiple file types by the end of the year.

That's it for this week! As always, there's loads to do and never enough time to get everything done at once. I'm definitely looking forward to stitching my way out of several projects in the coming weeks and enjoying the season change with new quilts and fun techniques!

Let's go quilt,
