Yep, I'm pulling out the weird names this week on the Free Motion Quilting Project! Glazed Donuts is the newest design to be added to the project (#403) and it's a super fun combination of Stippling and Echo Shell, which make it a great skill building design:

Also added to the project this week is another terrific foundation piecing experiment! This week I pieced the green hair section with a strip of pieced blocks.

Click here to learn how to foundation piece a scrappy mosaic. This feels a bit like bargello quilting, but the actual foundation piecing is super simple and very similar to the red hair section.

That's it for this week! I'm heading off the computer to go find some donuts. I really should never have given that design such a delicious name. It's impossible to think about quilting when all I can think about are more glazed donuts!
