New Building Blocks Quilt Along

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful and safe holiday and are looking forward to this new year. Personally I'm starting this year with two intentions: to keep things simple and to teach awesome piecing and quilting techniques to as many quilters as I can.

Building Blocks Quilt Along
To kick off my teaching goal, we're already getting started with new videos for the Building Blocks Quilt Along. This quilt along will feature both piecing and free motion quilting videos, which will be posted every Monday on the Free Motion Quilting Project.

So let's catch up on what has been posted so far for our exciting new quilt along project!

Introduction: New Building Blocks Quilt Along - Jump into this new project on the right foot with a short video to explain how the quilt along will work and what you need to get started. I've also updated this post with answers to frequently asked questions, and one correction to Page 90 of the Building Blocks Quilt Pattern.

Quilt Piecing Tips - Because we're learning both piecing and free motion quilting, here's a short video detailing the piecing tools and materials I'll be using. Make sure to read the article as well because I forgot to explain scrap chargers in the video, and that might be something you notice in our first quilt along video on Monday.

FMQ Project Link Up - We're linking up this year on Friday again with anything related to free motion quilting, or anything you've learned on the project. I haven't had a load of time to quilt so I shared my latest favorite alternative: filling a coloring book with free motion quilting designs!
