This is a great time to invest in quilting tools that can make free motion quilting much easier on your home sewing machine! My favorite free motion quilting tools include:
Queen Supreme Slider - This slick sheet covers your feed dogs and makes moving the quilt under your needle so much easier. The slicker the surface of your machine, the easier it will be to push your quilt smoothly into any position.

Machingers Gloves - There's a reason I wear these gloves in every video I make! The lightweight nylon allows my skin to breathe, while the rubber tips help me grip the surface of the quilt, making it easier to move and control. Without the gloves, my fingers can't get a grip and my hands will just slide over the surface ineffectively.

Little Genie Magic Bobbin Washers - These tiny discs go into any bobbin case, side or top loading, and help the bobbin to spin more smoothly with less chance of thread breaks and bird's nests. I rarely break thread when quilting because these bobbin washers keep the bobbin thread feeding as smoothly as the top thread!

I love these three tools so much, I've put them together into the Queen Supreme Quilting Kit, which is on sale now during our 5th Anniversary Sale!  Click here to read more about the Queen Supreme Kit now

Trapped Ripples Quilting Design
This past week I took a look back at my free motion filler collection and realized we haven't learned a new filler design in a long time! We got back on track posting new designs with this beauty called Trapped Ripples:
Click here to read the post and watch a free video on how to quilt Trapped Ripples. So what do you think of this funky design? Where do you want to use this in a quilt?

Remember, the best way to get to know any design is to free motion quilt it on a small scale on a small square. You'll get plenty of practice and not waste much fabric. Give it a try and let me know what you think of it.

So that's it for this week! Don't forget to join in the fun of our AnniversarySale and save 15% on items that ship and 30% on all downloads this week only!
