A Sperm Quilt, Really?

Published: Thu, 11/06/14

HiĀ ,

I know you all are dying to know the story behind the title of this week's newsletter!

This past week I got to experience the best combination ever: a new friend, quilting, questionable quilting design choices, and ultimately a beautiful quilt.

I met Kimberly through a Craftsy webinar and we immediately hit it off and decided to try making a project together from her class Magical Blocks Out of the Box.

She pieced the top and sent it to me and I rushed right off to quilt it using designs from my class Free Motion Fillers Volume 2.

Needless to say, I soon came to an abrupt stop when I stepped back from the quilt and....what?...no!....WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

Craftsy Class Discounts
Speaking of Craftsy, did you know you can always find great discounts on quilting classes? Click Here to check out all the classes on sale now!

Craftsy always has at least a handful of classes on sale, many times they are brand new classes that have just launched! Just remember you never have to pay full price for a Craftsy class. As long as you're patient, the classes you want will go on sale eventually!
News from Leah Day
As you can probably tell, it's been a really fun week! We all dressed up and had a great time trick or treating on Halloween night. Click here for the video to see my whole family in costume!
I also shared another casual cam style video on dyeing fabric (you also get to see my office desk in its natural environment: cluttered!). Click here for the video on fabric dyeing.

Finally, we are excited to announce a first for our family: my seven-year old son James filmed his first video! James was out of school on Monday and Josh was too busy so I handed him the camera and he certainly made the video more entertaining! Click here to watch James' first video as the cameraman.

I'm really enjoying sharing my real life with you through these Casual Cam videos! It's nice to be able to film without worrying about everything looking perfect and just be myself. I really hope you're enjoying these new videos too!

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day
