Hi ,

We are back fromĀ  New Hampshire for the amazing MQX East, and wow, what a wonderful time!

I have to start today's newsletter with the most incredible news, something I'm still trying to wrap my brain around: I won MQX's Teacher of the Year!

I can't describe how this feels. I'm so overwhelmed and thankful to be recognized this way.

I almost immediately started crying because it just feels so good to be appreciated for what you do!

When I got on stage I had no idea what would come out of my mouth but it was something like: "Thank you so much for this recognition. I can't believe this. I'm just a girl who makes youtube videos in her basement."

So much of what I do is alone, on my own with a camera and sewing machine. To be recognized Teacher of the Year by the quilters who have been watching my videos and reading my blog for years feels amazing and I'm filled with gratitude for all my students who shared their love this way. Thank you so much...
No Sewing until You Quilt It Back in Stock
We are pleased to announce Ann Holmes' hard to find book is back on our shelves! So many quilters emailed us weeks ago when our first run quickly sold out, asking when more would be in stock.

Written in 2012, this book is the ultimate visual guide to this wonderful applique technique. Follow along through 7 projects as Ann teaches you how to use the technique in a variety of ways. Print out full size patterns for her quilt designs from the CD-rom included in the back of the book.

Included with the book you'll also receive 1 yard of French French interfacing. Because this interfacing is so critical to the No Sew technique, it makes sense to get it at the same time as the book This way you can get started right away trying out this cool new way to construct a quilt.

More News from MQX East
Josh and I had such an incredible time in New Hampshire!

MQX was honestly the best show I've ever attended and the most fun I've ever had teaching. I had three full classes of awesome, creative quilters and met many women who I've only known previously by comments and pretty photos on Facebook.
On Wednesday we kicked off teaching with a class on Free Motion Quilting from Feathers to Flames. I like teaching out of this book because it's a mini book and easy for students to page through at their machines, but packs over 60 cool designs so everyone leaves with a lot of ideas and inspiration at home.
Of course we could not miss walking the awesome quilt show at MQX! On Thursday Josh and I hit the show in the morning and immediately bumped into this beautiful quilt, shown at right.

I about shouted out loud when I saw this quilt. This is an awesome version of my Winter Wonderland Quilt created by Kelley Neeley. It's just really exciting to see a quilt I've designed executed so beautifully.

I then ran into Kelley as I sat down at the Sew Very Smooth booth and she recognized me. I had to give her a hug for doing such a great job on her quilt and even changing up the design by adding lace!

All in all, it was an amazing experience, and I hope to return next year for MQX East. If you have not attended the show, you are missing out; every quilter and student I spoke with clearly were having the time of their life.

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day
