HiĀ ,

Over the last several weeks the weather has been super wet and chilly in our area, but this week we finally saw some sunshine and area celebrating with a Super Spring Sale!

This is a great time to jump into quilting with both feet! If you've just started quilting and want to learn the basics the downloadable book How to Piece Perfect Quilts will help you learn the basics of preparing your fabric, cutting accurately, and piecing each block precisely with perfectly matching seams.

This downloadable book also comes with extra how-to videos to guide you through every step of the piecing process. If you've been struggling to piece precisely, this book will help you troubleshoot and figure out why your seams aren't matching up and how to improve your quilting ability with every block and quilt you create. New to the Free Motion Quilting Project
We've been super busy working on many new projects for the summer and fall, but still posting new designs for the Dancing Butterfly Quilt Along.

Remember, you can join in our quilt along projects anytime and work at your own pace! Many quilters are still joining in last year's Building Blocks Quilt Project and having great success learning about piecing and free motion quilting.

This week we learned two new designs: Abstract Leaf and Triangle Mosaic. Both designs incorporate triangles to create an interesting contrast to the pretty curved wings of the butterflies. Don't these designs look amazing stitched over this dancing butterfly block?
Yes, you really can learn how to free motion quilt these designs! One quilter pointed out that Triangle Mosaic is just straight lines, so you could easily quilt this design with your walking foot if you're more comfortable with that style of quilting.

With practice and patience, you can easily learn hundreds of fun designs and be able to quilt all of your own quilts with your machine. Make an effort to quilt every single day for at least 10 minutes and you will see massive improvement in a very short space of time.

My goal as a teacher is always to help you grow as a quilter and build your skills so you can make beautiful, fantastic quilts. Reply to this email today and let me know what skills you want to work on. I'm always planning new videos and would love to know what you're most interested in learning next.

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day
