Creating a New Craft Space

Published: Wed, 05/06/15

Hi ,

Yes, our new Crafty Cottage has been delivered! We are converting this tiny shed into an insulated, fully finished craft room where I'll be able to film new quilting videos without interruption.

I'm doing most of this work with my dad and sharing each step of the process in a new series of posts at LeahDay.com. Click the links below to read more about what we've knocked out in just the last two weeks:

Over the years I've published over 800 free videos to YouTube that have been watched by quilters all over the world. With this new space, I'm going to be able to take my video production up to the next level and bring you even more awesome projects, inspiring techniques, and step-by-step tutorials.

So this month I could really use your support! To cover the cost of this new construction project we've just launched a fantastic Mother's Day Sale!
Everything in the store is on sale INCLUDING our Affordable Sewing Tables. This awesome flatbed sewing table is small, but sturdy, and capable of holding even large machines in the extra large opening.

Each Affordable Sewing Table comes with one custom cut acrylic insert which will be cut for your machine. The table will arrive first within 5-7 business days, and the insert will be cut and shipped separately in around 3-4 weeks.

Of all the tools and gadgets I've invested in over the years, I saw the biggest difference in my sewing and quilting ability when I switched to a flatbed sewing table like this. Click Here to learn more about the table now.

This week's design - Barbed Vine - is a wonderful combination of shapes and textures. The gently curving vine a simple base for triangle shaped spikes that fill your quilting space with interesting texture.

This is a perfect filler design to incorporate in sashing or borders because you can easily expand or contract the barbed "leaves' to fill any space.

It's hard to believe we only have three designs left for this quilt along! Just remember you can join in anytime and make your quilt at your own pace while watching the videos within the Dancing Butterfly Quilt Pattern.

I'm headed to Spring Quilt Market next week to launch this pattern with Island Batik so you may even see it in stores and be able to join in the fun with the quilters in your area. Ask your quilt shop to contact Island Batik for more information if you'd like to bring this fun quilt project to your local shop!

Let's go quilt,
